Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will report directly to the CFO and will interact with representatives from departments across the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • This role will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks related to the financial operations of the business, including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Maintaining corporate financial models
    • Publishing budget materials and analyzing actual results
    • Assisting in analyzing projects proposed by business units
    • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data to assist reservoir and operations engineers in managing revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures
    • Developing presentations for management, banks, and investors
    • Analyzing development programs, acquisition performance, and return on investment
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis as needed (e.g., during acquisitions and divestitures, alternative financing, hedging, and other deal flow opportunities)
  • Acting as an interdepartmental liaison between accounting, operations, engineering, geology, business development, and legal
  • Assisting with intercompany accounting and finance duties across multiple business lines

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • A curious, analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong financial and accounting background
  • Familiarity with Aries is a plus
  • Familiarity with automation tools or artificial intelligence is a plus
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of oil and gas accounting or finance experience, preferably within:
    • Public accounting (assurance or advisory)
    • Banking
    • Industry
